Congratulations to the 21 Academy Swimmers who competed at the recent Qld Long Course State Championships.
Of our 21 swimmers, 12 made finals in one or more events. Medals were won by 16 year old Aiden Lister, who achieve a bronze medal in the 400 freestyle; BJ Oates achieve gold medals in the 13 year old boy 100 and 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly and a silver in 200 butterfly. Alan Gibson won 4 gold meals in the 13 year old boys 100 and 200 breast stroke events and the 200 and 400 Individual medley events and then won the 13 year old Age Champion.
Swimmers who have now qualified for Age National in 2012 are: Jared Pailthorpe, Alexandra Henderson , Aiden Lister, Keelie Sander, Drew Timbs, Alan Gibson and BJ Oates.
